This is creative and confirms what I have shared with my wife on many, many occasions. That is that all love stems from the One who is indeed Love. God is Love...not like love or similar to love...He is Love. Therefore the love songs that the songs from every era discusses, if it is indeed love, flows from God. Classical, Oldies, Rock, Pop, all of it originates in the Being of God. This Minister of Music takes some popular, well-known songs and makes it applicable as love songs to the one who is Love. Interesting reinterpretations of popular music...
We have a church here in town that I have been two a time or two (Jesse has been there a lot) that this reminds me of..
Yesterday, I heard Pete Townsend discussing a song from the Who's huge hit album "Who's Next". It turns out "Bargain" is a song about his yearning for God and his place relative to God's - that spiritual closeness to God (and costing nothing) is unmatched by anything else in the universe - "I'd call that a bargain, the best I ever had..."
So I am now learning it.
